Axel Hecklau lives in Berlin, Germany. He has presented his lecture in more than 60 cities, e.g. New York, Philadelphia, Vienna, Rome, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, and Berlin. Axel Hecklau has 30 years experience in magic. He is a well known working pro in Germany, has competed in 15 magic competitions and has received 14 prizes, e.g. 2nd place (Great Illusions) in FISM 1988. His 15th competition was at FISM 2003 where he placed 6th and received a standing ovation for his act as an old fashioned (funny) Prussian police officer. Since 2004 you can see him in Berlin on his own weekly TV close-up show called Close-Up Club. If you search for “Axel Hecklau” on YouTube, you will find demo-videos of his inventions. His lecture (parlor, stage and close-up) contains no “B” material. Everything is taken from his active repertoire and proofed in front of laypeople in hundreds of shows. Gene Anderson commented on his T&R Newspaper “Newsflash“ as “brilliant - absolutely brilliant!”
